Winter, Star of Cold, Snowy Nights and Flashy Decorations. A Ball is in Order. (w/ tsundereroute)
The Winter Ball... there was no livelier an event all year round. Everyone had a date, and Sayori was no exception - though it took everything she could muster to ask Natsuki out to it.
Everything was perfect at the event - all the decorations, the mistletoe spread out in various places, and everyone all dressed up in their very best. Sayori came wearing a dress as peach as her hair, long enough to almost touch the ground. Her hair, done up by a friend who insisted, shined in the light and was missing the usual red bow. She almost looked like a completely different person. But despite the differences on the outside, the inside still housed the insecure and anxious girl that Sayori was.
There was a lot of buildup to this; it took every ounce of courage for her to get this far at all. Her mind screamed at her to just leave Natsuki alone, to not try and push their relationship any further than friendship. She wasn't worth it, she wasn't worth it, Natsuki deserved so much better than her--
But she forced those thoughts away. She had to. She couldn't ruin this night. Even if nothing happened, she just wanted to have a fun time. That was all. She could at least have that... right? And help Natsuki have fun too?
All she could do was wait for the other to arrive, now, doing her absolute best to keep herself from visibly shaking with anxiety.
