He'd failed the first time. She'd severely wounded him... but he'd been healed and even got something to give him an edge in case this happened again. And was trained in how to use it.
He was inexperienced, but with the only Cure he knew - Ako - having disappeared from Equestria, as far as he knew, it was up to him to purify Coco from Dark Cure Spring.
And undo the mistake he made in allowing her to transform, and causing it besides.
He saw vines pop up and start attacking villagers as he entered the area, and slammed his wrench into some of them that were coming for him, before landing in front of Dark Cure Spring.
"Not so fast. You aren't hurting anypony else, Coco."
