First Kiss [PSL] (Tails/Sunset)

twotailedgeniusTails was the typical brainy student at his high school, and not much more than that. He was friendly, fairly outgoing, a pretty motivational and optimistic sort, and easy to make friends with. He didn't really consider himself much of a stand-out compared to the more popular students, and to be honest he was alright with that. He was already friends with practically half the school, despite still opting to be alone at night so he could tinker with mechanical stuff late into the night.
His life was turned somewhat upside down once he started dating Sunset.
It was a pretty shocking thing, to him and to his other friends - he wasn't sure where his bravery came from when he asked her out, or why he'd gone for it like he did. The last thing he wanted to do was end up making his friendship with her weird, or winding up with a rejection. But he'd done it, and there was no looking back - their first date to the movies had gone quite well, and his general uneasiness about things had started to lift.
Of course, he still wasn't entirely sure it was going to work out, but he wanted it to. Sunset was, in his mind, perfect. She was pretty, she was fun to be around, she was funny... just being near her would cause his heart to swell just a little. But the boy had never dated someone before - his first date with her being his first ever. And since this was to be their second date, he wanted it to be something different than just going to another movie. He had to make that night special and fun.
His options were rather limited, even with the things he looked up. He finally opted with a trip to the arcade, with a walk through the park and a picnic in said park after that. Whether she was very good at games or not, he wasn't sure, but he was at least fairly certain she would have fun at the arcade. All told, the date itself would definitely last at least a few hours.
Friday night was the date they'd set, one week from their previous date since the time had worked so well, and they'd meet up after classes end to go straight to the arcade. It was going to be a little busy, but he felt that it'd be alright either way.
With school finally letting out for the day, he made his way over to where they agreed to meet: right outside of the school's theatre. There, they'd have an easy path right to the arcade, even though it'd be a bit of a walk.
