2) What did you get yourself into... - You are NOT here to party. You were dragged here, happened to be in the area, or somehow got casually coerced into attending. Maybe you're just wallflowering, or actively avoiding people. (Except maybe the one that got you here, if that's what happened.) Will you bump into someone by accident? Hey, it's been known to happen.

3) You're just here for the drinks. - I mean, making conversation and dancing too, but you know what, who doesn't like a good drink or three? Just make sure you have a designated driver/flier/whatever if you're gonna get sloshed, kay?

4) It's a date - You're here with someone else for a date, whether this was an unplanned destination or what you wanted to do all along. Have fun!
