[That the whole operation went off without any successful summoning of a Primal or Voidsent or anything of the like was a blessing in the Miqo'te's book. In her experience, cultists often tended to get off some last desperation spell or other stupid move that just made everything worse and drawn out. They hadn't even had any major casualties to worry about. Really it all went super smooth and maybe she should have been a little suspicious about that just considering her adventuring luck.

Instead, and thanks in part to the comforting presence of Gohan, she allowed herself to relax and let her guard down. Maybe if she'd been a little more wary she might have realized what was happening before it was too late. Had she noticed the telltale red and blue glowing lines on the device that Gohan had just handled, maybe she could have spared them some future embarassment.

As it was, she chalked up the heat she began to feel as just the normal sort that went along with a recent fight and then sorting through a stuffy storage room.]
