There was almost no space, but it had no problem whatsoever getting in there, and without applying too much force in any direction. It was possible to feel that it was there. But for it feeling like it should only barely have fit, it had no problem.

Similar to how an octopus can basically fit anywhere its beak can, because that's the only hard part of its body.
