[Annie never liked PE. Doctors' notes about her respiratory issues allowed her to take it easy, but every year she had to take it prior she was always teased and bullied for lagging behind, and not even the teachers would help her. So for her first day at the new school, she pushed herself so that maybe this time things would be different.

This was quickly turning out to be a very bad idea. She hadn't even finished the warm-up laps around the gym before her lungs started burning. She tried to ignore it but it wasn't long before she finally felt herself start to buckle.
