[Julia still wasn't sure how comfortable she was in high society. She was a music star, she had to get used to things being fancy, but it always just felt like too much to her. A costume party sounded like a lot of fun, more fun than she expected! She went all out on her princess costume, right down to the plastic tiara, the frills, and laces, making herself look just right. And she filled that pink gown out just right. Just her luck that the other guests were far stuffier, and their costumes all looked like they just spent as much as they could to look impressive and dignified.

And so, despite being so excited to dress up and mingle, Julia found herself wallflowering, smoothing out her skirt awkwardly. When would something exciting happen?]

[She hadn't been the only one sticking to avoiding others. Well, beyond just going to the buffet table every now and then. Parties were something he could blend into, but didn't really feel a need. Julia had helped Hei come out of his shell more, certainly easy when they banged in front of an audience, and being with her band proved helpful. But people like this, all proper and whatnot, it didn't interest him. And they didn't care for his own outfit, which had been made to look like a punk rocker, with torn jeans and tanktop, wristbands on each arm and his hair even messier. It had been recommended by one of Julia's bandmates, to contrast her own cute look.

...Come to think of it, he didn't ask for her opinion.

So he went over to the band leader, casually eating some fried calamari. Too bad she didn't look pleased.]

[Julia almost jumped, but caught herself quickly in the moment. She was so lost in thought she didn't even hear him approach! She flashed him a smile, but then sighed.]

Not really, no... I thought a costume party would be way more fun. Especially on this island, you know? But the people here are just so... stuffy.

[She lowers her voice to almost whisper to him as they speak. Hei's presence does seem to improve her mood though, and she pushes up from the wall to be polite.]

At least I'm not alone here. You look very handsome as a punk rocker!

[Her knees wobbled for a moment at that display, but when she recovered, she lightly swatted his chest and laughed.]

[He normally wasn't the flirting type. Could hardly do it with his usual attitude, save for those that preferred the more silent, tough guy act. But Julia's reactions did make it all the more tempting to try. He chuckled as she blushed.]

So I'm already your type? Well, I may have guessed after the last few private performances.

Well, we did already find out we have good chemistry together!

[She turned a bit brighter red, but she stood her ground.]

[He turned a bit serious, some longing in his eyes. Felt weird to feel like this, but the addicting sex and her cheery attitude made it hard for him to part from Julia, emphasized as he stroked a hand through her hair as he talked.]

[Vacations, trips, all of that had to end at some time... He had become a good friend to her, one she wasn't looking forward to saying goodbye to. In a bid to change the topic, she reached for his hand and squeezed it.]

[He was used to the other side, changing the subject. But he made no objection at the offer to dance. Might be his last chance, so it was best to keep having good memories. He nodded to the singer.]

[Julia smiled and held his hand tightly, pulling him away from the wall and into the crowd of dancers. A string quartet's sound filled the room as couples swayed around them, and soon Julia and Hei were among them. She wrapped an arm around his waist as she held on to his hand, and pressed herself close to him. The princess and the punk.]

I don't think we've ever really danced like this before...

[He wrapped his arm around her waist in kind, taking her hand and leading in the dance. Thankfully, it wasn't too hard to remember how this went, based on how he was taught all those years ago. Who thought it would come in handy now?]

I rarely get the chance to. Usually I'm the one serving food.

Then I'm glad you get the chance to now!

[She looked into his eyes for a few moments longer, and then leaned against him, resting her head against his chest as they swayed together.]

[The grip around her waist would tighten, remaining silent for a while. Part of him felt like pursuing this would be problematic, given who he was. But on the other hand...what was there to lose here? Having Julia like this in his arms, he knew of all things, he wanted the singer in front of him.]

...what if I don't have to leave? I meant what I said, about...about staying with you.

[She paused and looked him in the eye again. She knew in her gut what she wanted to say to that, and she couldn't help it as the words started to pour out of her mouth.]

I'd really like that. But I can't just steal you away from your life to live on an island with me, you have your own life to live too...

Not really. What I have out there...there isn't really anything beyond surviving day by day. With you, I feel like I'm alive for the first time in ages.

[A hand went back up to her cheek, guiding her to look him in the eyes, all as he kept up their slow dance. The feelings were pouring out, Hei unable to hide the emotions rushing him.]

I don't want to just be with you. I want to live with you, and for you.

[Julia was quiet for a moment as she thought about what he said. She looked up at him, biting her lip. She reached for him, held him around his neck, and pulled him in so she could kiss him for a long, slow makeout. When their lips finally parted, she giggled.]

I think... you're sounding more like my type all the time.

[He stopped his movements when she closed in, placing her lips against his. Naturally, he returned it, the presence of people around them seemed to no longer exist in that moment, leaving just the two of them to share this intimate moment.

When she broke away, a smile was back on his face.]

[Julia blushed happily, and lifted her hands to rub his chest, lips inches from his face. She was breathless for a moment, but she smiled for him.]

[With it made official, he leaned in to close the gap, lips pressed against hers in a more gentle kiss, lingering for a bit as he held her close. Even as people got near them with their dancing, he didn't budge, ignoring them for the shared moment between himself and Julia. They didn't matter to him, only the singer right in his arms.]

[Time seemed to melt away as they held each other and kissed. The dancers around them started to try and sidestep the happy duo, but Julia forgot about everything else. When their lips parted again, she panted to catch her breath, her heart starting to race.]

[She slid her hands down his chest, and slipped her fingers under the waist of his pants.]

[His eyes glanced at the hand running down his chest, and touching an all-too familiar spot. He soon chuckled. Some things never changed. But given the bulge that seemed to form moments after being touched, he was hardly innocent of any desires.]
