[PSL - The Cupid In Pink] [High School AU]

[Tails got his lunch, sat at the table with two of his friends, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Lately, for some odd reason, he had been finding himself looking over at her, and sometimes noticing that she's looking over at him. He smiled, she smiled, nothing seemed odd about it. But for some really peculiar reason, looking at her made his heart start beating faster, and sometimes his cheeks burned a little as well. He didn't really understand it, so he wrote it off as just being happy to be her friend. And maybe that's just how she felt back, right?

Well, it looked like a certain cupid in pink had a job to do that day, because this had been going on for quite some time now...]

Huh. Well, THAT'S weird. Usually when I hint about things, I'm pretty blatantly obvious about WHAT I'm hinting at, isn't that right, Fluttershy?

[She nods.]

[Then she hesitates for a moment.]

Right! You've gotta be hinting at something. I mean... there's these. [He pulls up the drawings at last.] And if you put these together with the 'pair' and 'couple' and other words you've been emphasizing, it's starting to become clear. But I mean, just because I like Fluttershy doesn't mean you have to... point... it...

[Wait. What? He looks at the papers, then at Pinkie, then at Fluttershy... and his face flushes red.]

[Fluttershy turned to him with wide eyes.]

Wh-What...?

[GAAAASP! Oh my gosh this is finally happening! With a HUUUUGE grin, she grabs her chair and BOLTS to a corner where she can give them some privacy (while still being totally within earshot as she mows through her bread sticks like popcorn).]

[He's still confused as to what's happening here!! Mostly. Kind of. A little.

But after looking at the drawings again, part of him realizes why he's been so... awkward around her. He takes a deep breath, puts the paper down, and turns to face Fluttershy. That blush ain't going anywhere, though.]

W-Well, um... I-I actually didn't... realize it until then, but... um... well...

I... I r-really like you, Fluttershy.

[Her own cheeks flush, and her heart skips a beat.]

R-Really...? Y-You...You d-do...?

[He nodded.] Y-Yeah... I really do.

[Her blush darkening, her hair covered her face as she ducked her head, fidgeting just a bit. Then she murmured something, so soft that it was hard to hear if you weren't paying attention.]
